Extreme AC Performance for Yamaha G29 & Drive Golf Carts

Upgrade your Yamaha golf cart with the Navitas TAC3 850A 7.5kW AC Conversion Kit, a high-performance DC-to-AC power system designed for compatible Yamaha G29 and Drive electric golf carts equipped with the factory JW Moric control system.

Built for carts that need substantially more torque, stronger hill-climbing capability, and increased performance, this conversion kit replaces the factory DC motor and controller with a powerful Navitas TAC3 850-amp AC controller and 7.5kW AC motor. The result is a more responsive drivetrain suited for modified carts, larger tires, additional passenger weight, steep terrain, and other demanding applications.

The TAC3 controller also features Bluetooth connectivity, allowing compatible settings and vehicle information to be accessed through the Navitas mobile app. Adjustable parameters include acceleration, regenerative braking, speed and other performance characteristics, giving you greater control over how your Yamaha drives.

Kit Includes

  • Navitas TAC3 850A AC Controller
  • 7.5kW Navitas AC Motor
  • Yamaha-specific wiring harness
  • Motor sensor cable
  • Integrated Bluetooth connectivity
  • CAN communication capability

TAC3 Performance Features

The Navitas TAC3 platform is engineered for high-output golf cart applications and includes features such as:

  • 850A MOSFET controller for increased torque and power
  • Adjustable regenerative braking
  • Rollback protection
  • Programmable speed limiting
  • Thermal protection
  • Fully sealed IP65-rated controller
  • Waterproof AmpSeal electrical connectors
  • Bluetooth programming through the Navitas app
  • Compatible with the Navitas On-The-Fly programmer, sold separately
  • Yamaha G29 / Drive Fitment

This kit is intended for compatible Yamaha G29 / Yamaha Drive electric golf carts using the JW Moric factory controller system.

Important: Verify your cart's existing controller and electrical configuration before ordering. This kit is designed to convert compatible factory DC/Moric systems to Navitas AC power and should not be confused with kits designed for Yamaha models already equipped with a factory AC/NEOS drivetrain.

Whether you're building a high-performance neighborhood cart, running oversized wheels and tires, carrying additional passengers, or simply looking for significantly more power than the factory Yamaha drivetrain can provide, the Navitas TAC3 850A 7.5kW Yamaha G29 AC Conversion Kit delivers the controller capacity and AC motor performance needed for serious golf cart builds.

Please note that part availability has continued to be difficult since the COVID-19 pandemic.  It is getting better but continues to be an issue.  Most of our items are in stock but some of the items that are dropshipped do not allow us the capabilities to tap into our suppliers "on the fly" inventory levels.  We also sell items locally which makes it sometimes difficult to keep up to date on inventory levels.

If you are concerned about inventory levels please send and email, call or text before placing the order.
